Failing Beautiful is the Full-Service Design Studio of Motion Designer and Creative Director, Nacho Guijarro, based in Madrid, Spain.
The philosophy behind FBS name is that whether in life, love, or work, when one tries to do the most beautiful thing imaginable, even so-called failures will feel like a success. I believe this fearless attitude provides the best possible mindset for designers in their quest to good solutions to design problems.
FBS makes zero efforts to promote its work in specialized press, social media or award shows, therefore relying only in mouth-to-mouth communication. As most things, this is also a design choice: my undivided attention is focused in the satisfaction of my present clients and I am compelled to keep making good work that do the talking for me.
In the past, I was lucky to call home some of the best advertising agencies in the world, such as Doubleyou, Wieden+Kennedy and 72andSunny, where I learned from some of the best and brightest in the industry. I made creative work for dozens of global clients such as Coca Cola, Nike, Honda or Samsung, and pitched for so many other brands that even a visit to the supermarket turns into a trip down memory lane.
I believe those 12 years of communication background, combined with my Industrial Design Engineering studies, provide me a quite complete set of tools, that nowadays I apply to Branding to deliver aesthetic and functional solutions for both the physical and digital worlds.
Finally, if you happen to be impressed by awards: yes, I have won some Cannes Lions and so on. But the most impressive thing to me will always be that the kid I once was kept drawing and made a decent living out of it.
